The roulette in Tonza Originals follows the European layout: 37 pockets, a single zero, and 35:1 on a straight-up number. Stated RTP is 97.3%. This piece explains where that number comes from, why it does not move between bet types, and what genuinely changes when the wheel is computed rather than spun.
One zero decides everything
A European wheel holds 37 positions — 1 through 36 plus zero. A straight-up number hits with probability 1/37. A break-even game would pay 36:1 on that; the table pays 35:1, and the entire margin rests on that single extra pocket.
The arithmetic is one line: 36/37 = 0.973. The 97.3% RTP and the 2.7% house edge are not tuned settings — they follow directly from having exactly one zero on the layout.
Different payouts, identical edge
Every standard European bet is priced by the same rule: 36 divided by the number of covered pockets, minus one. That gives 35:1 on a single number, 17:1 on a split, 2:1 on a dozen — and the same 2.7% on every line.

The practical reading: choosing a bet type changes variance, not expectation. Straight-up play produces long dry runs punctuated by large hits; even-money play produces a tight sawtooth around zero. Either way, 100 units of turnover carry an expected cost of 2.7.
Covering the layout changes nothing
The same arithmetic disposes of the idea of blanketing the table. Put one unit on 35 different numbers: turnover is 35. In 35 cases out of 37 the covered number returns 36 units, a profit of one; in the remaining two — zero and the number you left out — all 35 are gone. The average is (35 × 1 − 2 × 35) / 37 = −0.95 per 35 staked, which is 2.7% again. Win frequency rose to 94.6% and expectation did not move.
How a computed wheel differs from a physical one
- No wheel physics. Real wheels can develop bias and croupiers can fall into repeatable release patterns — the basis for every historic tracking system. A computed result has no bearings to wear and no hand to read.
- Verification replaces observation. Instead of trusting the mechanics, you get a server seed hash issued before play and the ability to recompute any spin on the Provably Fair page once the seed has been rotated.
- No French rules. Some European tables apply la partage or en prison, returning half of an even-money stake when zero lands and cutting the edge on those bets to 1.35%. A flat 97.3% RTP means those rules are not in play here: even-money bets cost the same 2.7% as a straight-up number.
- You set the pace. A floor table forces a shared rhythm; here there is no waiting at all. That is the real hazard of a 2.7% edge on turnover — round speed converts directly into spend speed.
- Limits. Originals accept 0.1 to 10,000 in the account currency per bet. The exact set of betting fields is visible in the game interface itself.
What betting systems really do
Martingale, D'Alembert and dozens progressions reshape the distribution of results and leave expectation untouched. Every individual bet inside a system still pays its own 2.7%, and the progression's only reliable effect is more turnover per hour before it meets your balance or the upper limit.
Hot and cold numbers in the history panel are a record, not a forecast. Spins are independent by construction — server seed, client seed and nonce are evaluated fresh each round, with no carry-over from the previous result.
Bonus money and cashback
Bonus funds are playable in Originals only, and roulette is included.
